It’s true. This $3.8 million beach house in the prestigious Sydney suburb of Freshwater on the Northern Beaches is being given away – and it’s all in the name of a good cause.
Home lotteries group RSL Art Union is raffling off the oceanfront house to raise money for veterans. It’s a scheme they started during the Great Depression to help soldiers returning from World War 1.
So what will you actually win?
The recently re-built house has uninterrupted views from Manly to Curl Curl, with Curl Curl beach just a short stroll away.
There are also four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a double garage, plus over $160,000 worth of furniture and state-of-the-art electrical appliances are included.
Water and rates have also been paid for the first 12 months, with the winner will be able to pick up the keys in early October.
You can enter as many times as you like, but you will need to get in quick. More than half the two million tickets available have already been sold at $4 each.
You can buy tickets on the RSL Art Union website here.
