If you’re struggling to think of ideas for your Kris Kringle gifts this year, spare a thought for Tori Starr who will be playing ‘Santa Claus’ to aged care residents across the Territory.
Torri started five years ago, focusing on facilities in Darwin and Palmerston.
But now she’s working right across the Top End, as well as sending presents to aged care residents in Alice Springs, Nhulunbuy and Tennant Creek.
Torri is hoping to bring a bit of joy to elderly Australians after a tough year.
“I think it was really isolating for a lot of people, but we haven’t given a lot of thought to just how isolating it’s been for aged care residents in particular,” she said.
