Want to relive 2020? Last year has now been turned into a video game

For anyone who didn’t have enough of 2020, a new video game will allow them to relive every agonising event the world endured in the first year of the coronavirus pandemic.

Developed by Max Garkavvy, the ‘2020 Game’ drops players into a picturesque setting with green grass and blue skies but that quickly changes as Australia’s bushfires take over.

The player is given the chance to rescue a koala but just as skies turn blue and the fire clears, COVID-19 hits and players are required to grab a face mask.

The rest of the game involves the player being forced to avoid virus clusters while businesses close and the stock market crashes.

The 2-bit game is available to play online for free and takes about 10 minutes to complete – and it’s surprisingly fun.

So, if you’re feeling nostalgic for another round of panic buying at the supermarket, why not give it a go here?
