Want to dance with the real-life ‘Mao’s Last Dancer’? Free ballet class for Queensland Seniors Week

0

The free class at Brisbane City Hall on Sunday 26 August will be open to 250 seniors and be hosted by ballet star and Queensland Ballet Artistic Director, Li Cunxin, whose life inspired the film ‘Mao’s Last Dancer’.

The event will also include a Tiny Dancers ballet class for children aged two to five-years-old if participants would like to bring grandchildren along for the day.

The Queensland Ballet offers a range of classes for older people through its Seniors in Studio program and Mr Li hopes the class will encourage those who’ve never stepped inside a ballet studio to consider it as an option.

With ballet proven to have big benefits as you get older, why not give it a go?
