Uniting aged care and community services celebrated the NSW Seniors Festival last Friday night at its 23rd annual Seniors Ball at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse.

The event which Uniting has been hosting since 1996 (to coincide with the festival) is a night for clients, staff and families to enjoy dinner, dancing and entertainment and this year’s theme  ‘The Greatest Spectacle on Earth’ celebrated a carnival atmosphere with employees and volunteers dressed as ringmasters, acrobats and stilt walkers.

In keeping with the theme, entertainment also included dodgem cars, Side Show alley, a temporary tattoo station, the Uniting Roberts Lodge band and much more.

Uniting’s Head of Residential Operations, Sydney South East, Renee England said,it’s always amazing to see so many people get excited and happy to participate, by dressing up to party on the night. It’s a great event which presents an opportunity for clients, family and staff to socialise in a fun environment and celebrate ageing actively and positively”.

NSW Seniors Festival which is taking place between 12-23 February 2020 encourages older Australians to continue to lead active lives, to engage in new activities and cultivate new friendships.
