Strange but true. July 4 has been earmarked as the day Britain reopens for business after a three-month lockdown with pubs, restaurants, museums and hair salons allowed to open their doors – but not without a few caveats.
Strict social distancing standards will have to be adhered to.
“We no longer face the virus spreading exponentially, though it remains in circulation,” UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said this week.
“Almost as eagerly expected as a pint will be a haircut, especially by me.”
And while many of the restrictions make sense, there are one or two that have had UK citizens scratching their heads.
For instance, theme parks will be allowed to open with social distancing measures.
But thrill seekers be warned – you won’t be allowed to scream on the rollercoaster.
This brings theme parks in adherence with guidelines from the UK government that prohibit people from raising their voices or shouting in public areas.
With the overall number of cases in the UK continuing to rise above 300,000, you can’t blame anyone for being extra careful.
