UK aged care resident gets her Christmas wish – a stripper

A UK aged care home has given its residents an early Christmas gift they’ll never forget after one of their residents – known only as Joan – put a request under the home’s wishing tree for a visit from a stripper with a “large chest and big biceps”, the BBC reports.

The managers of the Glastonbury Court care home in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, say most of their residents ask for a beach trip or an afternoon tea, but they couldn’t resist Joan’s wish.

The stripper, dressed as a fireman, arrived at the home and began swinging his belt around before stripping down to his jocks – to an understandably appreciative audience.

“I thought that he was amazing – I wish he could visit us every day,” Joan said. “He made me feel like I was young again, I loved every second.”

Home manager Sharlene Van Tonder admitted that an in-the-buff man wasn’t the “typical kind of visitor” to entertain the residents, but they are “keen to ensure that there are no limitations so that every day can be different and fun”.

It’s not the first time we’ve heard of resident making unusual requests either – last year, a group of female residents in the UK were served dinner by naked butlers on request from one of the women.

We say good on the staff for doing their best to keep their residents happy (if a little hot and bothered).
