Uniting NSW.ACT employees Ivan and Hannah are formally engaged after Ivan, with the help of residents, popped the question to Hannah at the Gerringong home, 48km south of Wollongong.
Ivan said he chose to propose in front of residents at the aged care home because it has “a very special place in my heart”.
The residents who were present for the special moment helped set up balloons that spelt out ‘marry me’ and cheered the couple as they embraced.
The loving couple have been dating for five years but the look on Hannah’s face as Ivan went down to one knee indicates she had no idea the big moment was coming.
