US President Donald Trump has reigned supreme in the ‘gaffe’ stakes, from his campaign stance “We’re going to win bigley” to telling the French president’s wife “You’re in great shape” – and now we have Boris!
Following the resignation of Theresa May and the debacle that is Brexit, Boris Johnson now takes the helm as leader of the UK government.
Prior to his new status as Britain’s new Prime Minister, Boris has been best known for a trail of controversial, silly and downright bizarre quotes that follow him wherever he goes.
From calling cannabis “jolly nice”, to claiming he has no idea what a bottle of milk costs.
Mr Trump has already congratulated Boris and the pair have much in common.
So, as Boris takes the helm, ‘The Metro’s’ headline says it all:
“Don’t panic! Meet the new dude at No. 10” – a reference to his plans in the leadership battle, in acronym form:
“Deliver Brexit, Unite the UK, Defeat Corbyn, Energise Britain”.
