Only in Australia: Snake catcher wrangles deadly snake

Another reminder Aussie wildlife deserves its reputation…

A veteran snake catcher has shared an image online of the biggest deadly eastern brown snake he has “ever seen.”

The monster reptile, believed to be over two metres  long, was relocated after it was wrangled from a home on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast yesterday.

Stuart McKenzie, who runs Queensland Snake wrangling business Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7, said the sizeable serpent was “thick as a coke can.”

As if the size is not concerning enough, eastern browns are the deadliest species in Australia, with venom considered the second most toxic in the world.
