Adelaide winemaker Tim Whitrow was visiting a vineyard when he left his window open and the air-conditioning on to keep his dog cool in the heat.
But when he got back, another little guy was sitting in the back seat too.
It took a fair bit of convincing to move the koala along, Tim said on Facebook – and this video shows him trying to get the stubborn animal out of the car for several minutes before he managed to send it back into the bush.
Koalas don’t usually like to mix with humans, and it can often stress them out, but this one really didn’t seem to mind.
The things you do for some cool air on a hot day, I guess!
