American news and politics may seem like a comedy routine at the best of times, but Fox News host Laura Ingraham has taken it to another level.
In a segment on her show, The Ingraham Angle, the presenter seemed confused when her colleague Raymond Arroyo brought up the Netflix show You during a segment on “woke TV”, seemingly mistaking the name of the show for the pronoun, and prompting an Abbott and Costello-style exchange for more than a minute:
Arroyo: “You know I was watching an episode of You where measles came up.”
Ingraham: “Wait, wait, wait, when did I mention measles?”
Arroyo: “I don’t know. It was on You.”
Ingraham: “What was on me? What are you talking about?”
The segment continued until Arroyo gave up in exasperation. He later took to Twitter after much speculation to announce the whole thing was scripted – but have a look at the video and see what you think for yourself…
