Only in America: Donald Trump uses new website to revise the history of his Presidency

0

The former US President has launched a new website marking his time in office – and it presents an interesting timeline of his achievements.

45office.com features a lengthy bio that describes how Trump created “the most extraordinary political movement in history, dethroning political dynasties, defeating the Washington Establishment, and becoming the first true outsider elected as President of the United States”.

The site appears to put a creative spin on several key moments from his Presidency however, including the economic crash caused by COVID and the United States’ record coronavirus death toll.

“President Trump ushered in a period of unprecedented economic growth, job creation, soaring wages, and booming incomes,” it states.

“When the coronavirus plague arrived from China, afflicting every nation around the globe, President Trump acted early and decisively.”

Unsurprisingly, the former President’s two impeachments and his ban from Facebook and Twitter have been omitted.

With Trump rumoured to be still weighing up a fresh Presidential run in 2024 – and reportedly launching his own social media site – it’s no wonder the ex-President is seeking a fresh take on past events.
