Mick Jagger writes tell-all memoir – just can’t remember doing it

Publisher and rock historian John Blake has located the frontman for the Rolling Stones’ 75,000-word manuscript written in the early 80s but was never published, which Jagger can’t remember.

How do you forget writing 75,000 words about yourself?

“So far as I have been able to ascertain, a publisher rejected the manuscript because it was light on sex and drugs,” Blake says.

That seems unlikely to us – especially when you consider one of the anecdotes Blake is now sharing involves Jagger buying a historic mansion, Stargroves, while high on acid.

Blake approached Mick about publishing the memoir, but he refused to let it see the light of day.

Just goes to show – ‘You can’t always get what you want.’
