KFC set to roll out self-driving trucks in China

0

Just when you thought 2020 had delivered enough strangeness.

KFC is rolling out (quite literally) a series of self-driving trucks to deliver fried chicken to feed its customers in the world’s largest Asian country.

These self-driving vehicles (pictured above) were first spotted on Twitter earlier this month.

They’re reportedly been used on university campuses, local streets and in Shanghai City.

By the looks of it, they seem to drive around town and let customers select the KFC item of their choice. Once the door is open, the customers take their food and pay with their QR scanner.

We’re not sure how we’d feel seeing one of these out on the highway, but it definitely beats waiting in the drive-thru queue!
