Jackie Chan comes home to film his latest movie – on top of the Sydney Opera House

The 62-year-old actor was spotted filming fight scenes on top of the iconic Sydney landmark for his new blockbuster Bleeding Steel.

The Chinese film is the biggest budget flick to ever be shot in Australia, with the veteran martial arts star still performing all of his own stunts.

But the star already has a special connection to Australia.

Family connection

The world-famous actor grew up in Canberra with his diplomat parents who worked for the US embassy.

And he has paid us back for his childhood. In 2008, he opened the Jackie Chan Science Centre at the Australian National University, funded by his donations to cancer research.

It’s also where he picked up his famous English moniker– asked what his name was applying for a job at a construction site (his real name is Kong-San), another worker called him ‘Jack’.

Check out how fighting fit he looks here.
