It’s a boy! QLD man loses licence after ‘gender reveal’ video goes very wrong

A 30-year-old father-to-be has found himself in deep trouble with Queensland police after a drone captured his car bursting into flames when he attempted to film a video stunt revealing the gender of his expected baby (a recent social media fad for new parents).

The video shows the man doing ‘burnouts’ in his Holden Commodore, causing a thick plume of blue smoke (for a baby boy, of course!) to emerge from behind his car – followed quickly by flames.

Thankfully, the driver fled before the small explosion and no one was hurt – but he did manage to land himself a hefty fine, charge for ‘reckless driving’ and lose his license for six months.

We hope this won’t be a case of ‘like father, like son’.
