Help with home maintenance for QLD seniors

0

The State Government is offering help to Queenslanders aged 60 years and over, or people of any age with a disability, who can’t undertake or pay for critical home maintenance without help through its Home Assist Secure service.

The service can provide information about home maintenance, repairs, minor modifications, safety and security upgrades and other assistance that the Queensland Government provides, plus help you employ tradespeople to do repairs or modifications and plan future work.

To be eligible, you must be at least 60 or of any age with a disability, hold a Pensioner Concession Card; be unable to complete the work yourself; and be unable to have the works completed through alternative assistance, such as the Commonwealth Home Support Program or Department of Veterans’ Affairs.

So, if you’ve been putting off getting your flyscreen fixed, now’s the time.
