Grab your passport – Finland is now making 1,000 can beer slabs

Created by the Finnish micro-brewery Nokian Panimo, the pack contain 1,080 cans of Keisari, made by combining five stacks of beer, 12 beers wide by 18 beers long.

finland-4The price? The pack will set you back about €2,150 which is about AUD$3,178, or just under $3 a can.

The company came up with the idea after a rival brand released a 100-pack of beer last month.

And people are buying them as this picture above shows.

However the packs aren’t exactly flying off the shelves (possibly because they require a small truck to take home) so retailers are planning to start breaking them down into smaller packs.

We can see the appeal of the behemoth beer – it’s dark for six months of the year in Finland so at least you’d save on trips to the Bottle-O.
