What: The City of Port Phillip Seniors Festival 2015 [Melbourne]
When: Monday 12 – Sunday 18 October 2015
Local Melburnians and those planning an exciting Melbourne visit, look out for the City of Port Phillip’s 14th annual Seniors (55+) Festival from Monday 12 to Sunday 18 October 2015. The Festival is a week-long celebration for seniors which aims to promote a positive attitude to ageing among the whole community. All events are free or low cost and include a wide range of interests and activities from dancing to dating, food, sport, craft, art, technology, ecology, open days and much, much more.
There are $10,000 worth of grants available to interested individuals and organisations to host their own events during this year’s Seniors Festival Week with amounts negotiable up to $700 + GST, depending on the type of event and the proposed number of attendees. Grant applications are open now but there is no time to lose – applications are due to close tomorrow Friday 27 March at 4pm. Apply online through the Smarty Grants website.
The City of Port Phillip will assist with the advertising and promotion of all events in the Seniors Festival program guide and website.
