Donald Trump’s attempt to buy Greenland fail

0

The US president’s bid to buy Greenland has not gone down well with the locals. And now he’s hitting back calling the response “nasty”.

Mr Trump postponed his trip to Denmark where he hoped to discuss “the purchase of Greenland”, but apparently no one told the US ambassador in Denmark who was eagerly awaiting his visit.

Greenland has a population of around 57,000 people and is situated between the North Atlantic and Artic oceans.

However, the Danish Prime Minister described Mr Trump’s proposal “absurd”, whilst Greenland’s premier Kim Kielsen said, “Greenland is not for sale: and “will not be sold”.

And in true Donald Trump style the President responded to the backlash calling the Danish PM’s comments “nasty”.

Only in America, definitely not Greenland!
