It’s the amount the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) estimates the US travel industry has lost since Trump’s election and controversial travel ban.
Flight searches to the US have fallen 17 per cent since his win, compared to the last weeks of the Obama government.
Travel search engine Kayak has registered a 58 per cent drop in searches for flights to Tampa and Orlando from the UK, and a 52 per cent decline for Miami. Searches for San Diego were also down by 43 per cent, Las Vegas 36 per cent and Los Angeles 32 per cent.
Average hotel prices have also been knocked down, with rooms in Las Vegas dropping by 39 per cent and New York City by 32 per cent.
There was one exception however – flight search demand to the US has jumped 88 per cent in Russia according to flight app Hopper.
