The man from Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire had been pulled over by local police who demanded to see his ID.
But instead of the real thing, he handed over a license belonging to the fictional father from American cartoon series ‘The Simpsons’.
Unsurprisingly, police were not convinced and seized his car and reported him for driving with no insurance and without a license.
They also shared news of the arrest on Twitter, which caused fans of the show to point out a few flaws in the license’s details – like the character’s birthday and address.
“Clearly a fake. Homer lives at 742 Evergreen Terrace,” one user posted.
Yes, clearly an amateur.
