Do look down – China unveils cliff-hanging glass walkway

0

Following news of its traffic-straddling bus last week, China has just opened what could be the world’s scariest skywalk.

The 1.6m glass path stretches 100 metres along the side of the Tianmen Mountain in Hunan province – and offers a stomach-churning view of the 300-metre vertical drop below.

A real cliff-hanger

Called the Coiling Dragon Cliff skywalk, it looks out over Tongtian Avenue (which means “avenue to the sky”), a winding mountain road in Hunan Province’s Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

It’s the third glass skywalk to be installed on the mountain, and is already attracting scores of tourists brave enough to tackle the dizzying walk.
