The conversations of life

“Courageous action” – walk in their emotional shoes

0

Last week I ‘teared up’ when I watch this video at the Aged and Community Services Australia (ACSA) national conference in Hobart. Please check it out but expect some emotions.

It features two people who have not met each other before and their conversation.

The video is one of the series created by Uniting, the services and advocacy arm of the Uniting Church NSW & ACT.

Each video conversation brings out courageous action by Uniting staff.

The strength and commitment of ordinary people is compelling.

Hugh has worked for Newpin for 22 years, a restoration program for dads that have had their children removed into foster care because of things going wrong at home.

Maryanne is a public health doctor and she works in a medically supervised injecting centre.

The conversation last six minutes and is worth every second.

Check it out here.
