Concerned about your finances during coronavirus? There is a free service that can help

0

The Financial Information Service (FIS) – run by Services Australia – offers free advice to help Australians make informed decisions about their finances.

If you have been stood down, retrenched or had changes to the value of your investments during the pandemic, their Officers can discuss your options and how they might affect your financial position now or in the future.

FIS also provides a range of tools that you can use too, including a savings planner to help you create a budget and an online payment and service finder to determine if you may be eligible for any payments or services.

We think it’s a useful service, especially if you’re feeling uncertain about your financial future.

You can find out more, click here or call the FIS directly, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm on 132 300. When you hear the prompt about why you’re calling, say Financial Information Service.
