Yes, for one night only, Mexican restaurant El Sol in Cronulla is transforming into ‘El Noll’ with DJs, live music and a secret headliner (if it’s not the Australian Idol singer himself, we’ll grow a soul patch).
Why, you ask?
The restaurant recently became home to a giant three-storey mural of the Aussie pop star by street artist Scott Marsh, well-known for his controversial murals of singer George Michael, former NSW Premier Mike Baird and everyone’s favourite Liberal Tony Abbott.
The new portrait has proved wildly popular with locals (we’re thinking it’s the Southern Cross tatt) so ‘El Sol’ saw the opportunity to pay homage to their “new deity”.
Guests will also be able to dine on a menu of Nollsie-inspired dishes including Mexican Shannon rolls, NOLLchos and What About Beans – all washed down of course with a glass of ‘Shangria’.
Now that’s what I’m talking about.
