Beware the caravan traffic jam at your retirement village post-COVID

0

Imagine 200,000 retirement village plus 100,000 land lease community residents being confined to their homes for six months. What will be the first thing they will want to do when the COVID border lifts?

Dust off the caravan and head for the hills! And with that, expect traffic jams in the village!

This is the advice that our sister group, the DCM Institute, which provides professional development for village managers, is giving.

Many villages provide free storage areas for caravans, trailers and RV vehicles. The photos above are from Latitude 25, a community in Hervey Bay in QLD that even provides home garages large enough to take a caravan.

We are already seeing village roads being jammed as residents pull up outside their homes to work on their vans and then load them up, getting ready to make ‘the long round trip’. Sounds like fun – after you escape the traffic jam in the village.
