The great-grandfather and former cattleman – who has his own Facebook page – spent the day marking the milestone with family and friends at the Pinaroo aged care home in Roma.

Mr Kruger lived on his own until he moved into the aged care home aged 103 and claimed his title last year – coinciding with the release of his tenth book ‘Dexter at His Prime’, a book of stories about his colourful life.
And his secret to a long life?
“Always eat when you are hungry, always drink when you are dry, always sleep when you are sleepy – don’t stop breathing or you’ll die,” he jokes.
