Only in America: Trump’s ‘criminal alien’ hotline inundated – with UFO sightings

0

The US President has ordered a ‘hotline’ for Americans to call when they witness an immigrant (‘alien’) commit a crime.

But the hotline was swamped on its first day by hoax callers reporting stories of extra-terrestrial activity.

On Twitter, callers reported long wait times and (unsurprisingly) sceptical operators.

The line is part of the President’s new Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE) office.

That’s despite research showing that immigrants – whatever their legal status – are less likely to commit violent crimes than US-born citizens.

Obama ‘cleansing’

It comes the same week that the Trump administration announced it was scrapping two of former First Lady Michelle Obama’s health and education initiatives – the ‘Let Girls Learn’ program, which gives teenage girls around the world access to education; and the healthier lunches in US schools program.

Of course, it’s the Government’s prerogative to decide which programs receive funding. But who would be better served here – young children and girls in need or “victims of illegal aliens”?
