“What a crowd,” was the President’s opening line as he took to the stage at the rally in Phoenix, Arizona this week.
“A lot of people in here, a lot of people pouring right now,” he said, even tweeting after the event: “Thank you Arizona. Beautiful turnout of 15,000 in Phoenix tonight!”
But Bloomberg reports that the President was “displeased” about the turn-out – telling long-time event organiser George Gigicos he would never manage a rally again, according to Bloomberg.
A City of Phoenix spokeswoman estimated the crowd at 10,000, though one journalist who attended the event said it was closer to 4,000.
But CNN has quoted a source who says George will be back, stating Trump’s tirades “are not uncommon.”
We’re not so sure. In just over a month, Trump’s chief strategist Stephen Bannon, deputy assistant Sebastian Gorka, chief of staff Reince Priebus, press secretary Sean Spicer, and communications director Anthony Scaramucci have all departed the White House.
