As millions of women marched in over 250 cities across the US and around the world to mark one year since his inauguration, the US President had a suitably Trump response.
“Beautiful weather all over our great country, a perfect day for all Women to March. Get out there now to celebrate the historic milestones and unprecedented economic success and wealth creation that has taken place over the last 12 months. Lowest female unemployment in 18 years!”
The joblessness rate for women was 3.7 per cent in December, below the US unemployment rate of 4.1 per cent, according to US figures.
Still, Trump can’t ignore that there has been over 8,700 protests in the US – 74 per cent against Trump and his policies – based on data published by The Washington Post.
They weren’t just Women’s Marches either – protests against the President have included demonstrations against the travel ban, the end of Obamacare, white supremacy, the Republican tax plan and more.
We have to give it to him though – only Trump could find a way to make a protest against him even more about him.
