A hard-earned thirst needs a big, cold … jumper? Victoria Bitter launches clothing collection

It’s one of the best-known brands in Australia when it comes to cracking open a cold one.

Now the brewer has released its own line of VB-branded clothing,  including crewneck jumpers, t-shirts and beanies, under its Big Cold Gear label.

The designs are supposed to reflect VB’s historic brand and ad campaigns – there’s even sticker packs showing all its different logo incarnations.

As a bonus, the gear’s also manufactured in Melbourne from 100 per cent Aussie fabrics – and ironic since Carlton & United Breweries, which produces the beer, is now South African-owned.

Marketing & Sponsorship Manager Hugh Jellie told Pedestrian that the store was launched in response to demand from punters on social media which does seem to ring true – on the VB Facebook page, users were already complaining that the t-shirts were selling out.

One thing’s for sure – this man will be lining up.
