WA man tries to avoid speeding ticket – blames gastro

0

Yes, really. Police in the town of Dalwallinu had pulled the truck driver over for clocking 99km/h in a 60km zone.

When asked why, he said: “I needed to s***, kids have given me gastro.”

Sadly the excuse didn’t pass muster – the cops hit him with a $1,200 fine and 12 demerit points, costing him his licence.

He’s not the first person to try it on though. In April, another West Australian man was fined $300 and lost six demerit points for running a red light. Asked why he didn’t stop, he told police: “I’m in a rush to get the kids Nando’s”.

Still you’ve got to give the truckie credit for giving it a go.

Our advice: if you need to use the loo that desperately, don’t get behind the wheel.

You don’t want to have to explain that one to the car upholsterer.
