Sneakers that are beer and vomit-proof? Yes, they’re a real thing

If you’re heading to an event like Oktoberfest, it’s important to bring the right footwear.

Now German company Adidas has created the perfect shoe for the popular Munich beer festival.

Called the München Made in Germany, the leather shoes are inspired by the colour of traditional Bavarian leather pants (lederhosen) and feature a special DPBR (durable puke and beer repellent) coating.

As a finishing touch, the German word ‘prost’ – cheers – is printed on the side.

Sounds like a great idea to us. After all, what could be worse than someone spilling their stein – or their stomach – all over your brand-new Kicks?

Sadly the AU$240 shoes are only available in Europe.

We think they’d come in handy here – if you’ve ever spent Australia Day at the pub, you know what we’re talking about.
