Only in America: Trump takes down climate change website – so Chicago puts it back up

0

The Trump administration had removed the 20-year-old site run by the US Environmental Protection Agency last month as part of a “review” – despite scientists saying the pages were up-to-date.

twitterNow the City of Chicago has posted a full copy of the pages on its own website – and is calling on other US cities to do the same.

“The Trump administration can attempt to erase decades of work from scientists and federal employees on the reality of climate change, but burying your head in the sand doesn’t erase the problem,” the Mayor Rahm Emanuel said.

Well said.

Sidenote: we were unsurprised this week to see the popularity of the name ‘Donald’ for baby boys has dropped off in the US, falling to 488 from 443 last year.

We can’t imagine why.
