The Hollywood actress was due to turn 93 on Monday – until Associated Press dug up a copy of her birth certificate which revealed she was actually born on April 3, 1922, not 1924.
But ever the leading lady, she took the news in her stride.
“I’ve always said that age is just a number and I have never paid much attention to birthdays, but it’s great to finally know how old I really am!” Ms Day said in a statement.
Like many actresses in Hollywood, Day’s birth date has been a mystery over the years.
But as we mentioned here, it’s not easy for women to make it in an industry where your age is everything.
For us, she’s still as timeless as ever.
