While we enjoy the festive season, 150,000 aged care workers will be missing out on celebrations with their loved ones.
Instead these ‘silent heroes’ will be caring for over 190,000 nursing home residents across Australia, doing everything from cooking and cleaning to nursing, bathing and providing companionship.
Our colleagues at agedcare101.com.au have created a new video and website just in time for Christmas to highlight the vital role that these workers – many of them migrants who have left behind families and friends – play in supporting our parents and grandparents every day.
