It is – according to a new analysis of his gift-giving through his charity by Forbes magazine.
The data, which dates from 2008 to 2014, reveals the Donald J. Trump Foundation gave $59,125 worth of donations to organisations that support climate change, LGBT issues, immigration and minorities, according to the Foundation’s 990 donation forms over that period.
All are causes that face having the laws protecting them overturned once Trump is in the White House.
Putting his money where his policy isn’t
The donations include $20,000 to GLSEN, an organisation focused on safe schools for LGBTQ students; $5,000 to Protect Our Winters, a group for positive climate change action; and $33,800 to groups that supported immigration and minorities including Muslim women and children.
Of course, it’s not the first time that the billionaire has back-flipped on an issue, with his position on abortion, tax and ISIS changing throughout the presidential campaign.
Now he’s pledged to “cancel every unconstitutional executive action, memorandum and order issued by President Obama” on his first day in office – can he backflip on this too?
