The latest viral trend, it’s seen everyone from police units and sports teams to politicians suddenly stand completely still while someone films them in position.

Thought to have started in late October with a group of American high school students, now retirement villages are getting in on the action – or lack of action.

Residents and staff at the Country Meadows of Forks retirement village in Pennsylvania in the US shot their own Mannequin Challenge during the home’s daily happy hour.
