Fed up with your partner spending their cash on Powerball?

Perhaps you should take a page from this US woman’s book.

Glenda Blackwell was so tired of the amount of money her husband Buddy was spending on Powerball tickets, when he asked her to pick him up some more, she bought a cheaper $10 scratchie ticket instead. Her reason? Spite.

“I was going to be ugly and buy a scratch-off to show him they didn’t hit,” Blackwell told the local television station. “Sometimes I get aggravated with him, so I tell him, ‘You’re just wasting your money.’”

Her plan backfired however with the 57-year-old winning $1 million (a lump sum of $415,503 after tax). “I had to eat my words, but they were worth eating,” she said.

So will Glenda be buying more tickets then? She says no.
