The ABC does some very clever things. This hilarious video created by Huw Parkinson for ABC’s ‘Insiders’ program perfectly captures the idea that our country is run by badly behaved children.
Titled ‘Kindergarten Cop and the 45th Parliament of Australia’, it seamlessly blends together footage from the 1990 comedy, which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as a detective who goes undercover as a kindergarten teacher, with scenes from Federal Parliament.
In the original film, the former California governor finds himself overwhelmed at having to handle a classroom full of five-year-olds. We’re guessing he’s never to deal with a group of hopeless politicians though.
It will either make you laugh or cry – or both – about the current state of Australian politics.
