The newly returned One Nation Senator and the former PM have enjoyed a “a bit of a chat” over coffee in a video posted to Ms Hanson’s Facebook page.
In her recent documentary Please Explain, the senator accused Mr Abbott and John Howard of leading a “witch hunt” against her, blaming them for her 2003 imprisonment on electoral fraud charges.
So what did they have to say to each other after all these years?
Not a lot, as their stilted 40-second conversation goes to show. Ms Hanson certainly seems inclined towards reconciliation though.
“Yes, we’ve had our differences in the past, but it’s a new start for me in this 45th Parliament and I intend to leave any bitterness behind me for the sake of the country,” she wrote on her page.
