Whatever you think you know or don’t know about the American contemporary singer and songwriter, Pink (aka Alecia Beth Moore), you are very likely to find this video clip breathtaking and more than a little bit moving. You might even need a hankie.

This is Pink with her father, Jim Moore, singing a song he wrote ‘about 40 years ago’ as a soldier during the Vietnam war.  The song is called, “I have seen the rain” and it’s the first time her father has ever performed the song in front of a group of people.

Pink describes it as ‘a soldier’s cry’. It’s a beautiful, harmonious duet between a daughter and the father who inspired her – her first rock star, as she describes him.  Enjoy!

Pink, born 8 September 1979, is undoubtedly deserving of her accolades. Among many other achievements, she is the winner 0f three Grammy Awards, a Brit Award, and six MTV Video Music Awards

Frank and Earnest love to have conversations about the things that matter in life to most people but especially to those of us with a few years behind us. We start some conversations, we pick up others, we share stories and ideas and try to stimulate thinking.
