Small children and wild animals rarely mix, as we saw with a bear-chasing toddler in June – and as one poor ostrich at the Tennessee Safari Park discovered recently.

@abc7newsbayarea During a visit to the Tennessee Safari Park, an excited 3-year-old Emma tried to hug an ostrich while feeding it through the window. The toddler’s mother says they’re regular visitors, “We are all scared of the ostriches, but not her. She kept saying she wanted to hug the big bird, and she did.
