Uniting NSW.ACT has recorded Oldie Goodie, a series of six podcasts which address the tricky issues around ageing, hosted by former Sale of the Century and Blind Date host Nicky Buckley and clinical psychologist Melissa Levi.

“The Oldie Goodie podcast series will make people think, celebrate ageing, and perhaps learn something they did not know. This podcast does not shy away from asking difficult questions,” said Uniting NSW.ACT Director of Ageing, Saviour Buhagiar.

Episode one and two were released on Tuesday. The first features 83-year-old actor Ian Smith, who played Harold Bishop in TV drama Neighbours, giving his insight into ageing.

The second offering, featuring photographer turned musician Richard Crawley, discusses the idea of a ‘second wind’ and looks at why retirement doesn’t mean your passion and zest for life needs to fade.

Other Oldie Goodie podcast topics will include food, nutrition, love, relationships, sex and death – all designed to help people understand and appreciate the benefits of growing older and finding their identity.
