Good to consider downsizing home and placing residue monies into super, but then Centrelink class your monies as more assets ,so your pension is chopped. Whereas keeping your home is not.
So downsizers are the losers
Govt purports to make changes great for downsizers , when actually its great for govt coffers,
That’s why many pensioners are rattling around in enormous homes. Some even living in only half of the house to keep low heating etc costs.
That’s the real world out here in suburbia.
