With property prices at all-time highs, a vacant block just a metre wider than an average single-car garage has hit the market for offers over $400,000.
The block, which is 4.6 metre wide, is at Stockland‘s Baringa master planned community in Caloundra West on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. It is currently leased as a footpath (yes, seriously).
Richardson and Wrench Coolum sales executive James Henley said the block is 4.6m wide and 28.1m long. The average size of a single car garage is 3.6m wide.
“Prices are going crazy on the Sunshine Coast and what seems to be an ambitious price sets a new benchmark for an area,” said Mr Henley.
“The market is growing rapidly. All it takes is a buyer who sees value, and that buyer will be willing to pay the amount.”
Mr Henley said it would suit a small terrace home, which have grown in popularity among first home buyers eager to get into the market.
We all know property prices have soared this year – but we’re not sure this offer is worth its weight in avocado toast.

VERY GOOD COMMENTARY. I AM VERY INTERESTED IN ANY PROPERTY COMMENT,
AND WELCOME MORE. NOT INTERESTED IN INVESTING, BUT MORE TO DO WITH
WHEN THE MARKET COULD COLLAPSE. WHAT COULD BRING THIS ABOUT?.
ALSO VERY INTERESTED IN COMMENTARY ON WHY THE MARKET HAS
KEPT GOING SKY HIGH.?
AS TO WHY, THERE ARE TWO INVOLVED IN PROPERTY ON MY MOST UNWANTED LIST.
BUT THEEY WOULD TAKE ME UNTIL NEXT TUESDAY TO GO THROUGH IT ALL.
HOPE FOR MORE PROPERTY ”STUFF” FROM YOU. ESPECIALLY IF BAD NEWS FOR THE SHOKS AND SHYSTER WHITE COLLAR CRIMINALS,
