TLC Healthcare helps other aged care providers with COVID vaccinations

A Melbourne aged care provider that has its own doctors has promised to assist other aged care providers to vaccinate their residents and staff against COVID-19 and influenza.

TLC Healthcare is the only aged care provider in Australia that was approved by the Department of Health to directly administer the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to their residents, staff and contractors, as part of the Phase 1A roll-out of the national vaccination program.

TLC has community medical centres located at each of its residential aged care homes; so it has the facilities to deliver large-scale vaccination programs.

“We have been approached by a residential aged care home in Carrum Downs and a retirement village in Frankston North to assist them with their vaccination programs, and we are happy to help,” said TLC Healthcare CEO Lou Pascuzzi (pictured).

“TLC is also are happy to help other aged care homes and retirement villages that require assistance with their programs, if they contact us. I am delighted that other aged care providers are now being proactive in their approach to having their residents and staff vaccinated.”

In addition, TLC Primary Care’s medical centres have also been approved to vaccinate members of the general public who qualify for the Government vaccination program.
