The neighbours are restless!
When he lost the 2020 US Election, it looked like Donald Trump would relocate to his private Florida resort, the Mar-a-Lago, which prompted neighbours to petition Council against the move.
But despite the public outcry, Trump was this week granted permission by the Palm Beach Town Council to call the resort home.
The five-member Council chose not to act on the community petition to have Trump booted from the resort, The Guardian reported.
The dispute seemed to falter after town attorney Skip Randolph pointed out there was no stipulation in the resort’s 1993 agreement which barred Trump from living there.
But the fight to evict the former President is far from over with the neighbour’s attorney, Philip Johnston, pledging to return in April with a more comprehensive presentation about why Trump shouldn’t be allowed to stay.
